He is without a doubt one of the best defensive boxers ever, with a record of 50-0 and 27 KO’s, he stands alone at the top.

Some individuals have stated that Mayweather’s fights are boring to watch. This is because he is a technician in the ring. He knows how to break you down, take advantage of you, and hit all your weak points while avoiding every punch you throw. Mayweather Jr was a big hitter with his first 15 or so fights with his uncle as coach. Once Floyd Mayweather Sr came out of jail, he taught Mayweather Jr a new approach to the game. Therefore, we have seen Mayweather Jr thrive and last as long as he has. He uses his speed and ring awareness to win fights. On the other hand, Alverez is a more power puncher looking for that knockout. Standing at 56-1-2 with 38 KO’s Alverez will punish you in the ring. Known for his power and precision, Alverez has great IQ when it comes to ring awareness. He knows how to study his opponents to the point where he can predict their moves. Alverez is fresh off a win by TKO against Billy Joe Saunders in the eighth round. This fight unified the belts at 168 pounds. While Mayweather was the face of boxing for many years, its Alverez now. As most can agree, Canelo Alverez is the face of boxing and has been for a couple of years now. After his loss to Mayweather, Alverez has been on a tear. This would be one of the biggest rematches ever with the endless amount of story lines. Mayweather returns to take on the new face of boxing. Canelo finally has a chance to avenge his one loss. There are endless possibilities with this fight.
