Victor Wembanyama soars in his Christmas debut
Victor Wembanyama was on one, playing in his first Christmas game against the New York Knicks. I guess you can say that Wembanyama was not feeling the nerves of playing i the Garden on Christmas day, because he was sleighing the buckets of gifts for his team.
While we can praise Wembanyama for finishing the game with in-human stats, Mikal Bridges was the Grinch that stole the Spurs' heart and Christmas Spirt. Bridges was so hot that he willed the Knicks to a 16-8 run late to go up six. Chris Paul hit a late three to cut the Knicks lead to three. With under .16 seconds left in the game, the Spurs failed to get the rebound, as Josh Hart put his body on the line and made an impact play to give New York a 117-114 victory.
Team Stretch finished with 42 points, 18 rebounds, and 4 dimes.
Consistency Bridges finished with 41 points and 4 dimes.
