Utah was stunned by Jamal Murray's 50 point game, as the series will have a Game 7
Orlando- The Utah Jazz could not close out the Denver Nuggets, as the Nuggets prevail and force a Game 7, 119-107.
Donovan Mitchell was very aggressive in the first half, as he went after the Denver Nuggets' defense. Mitchell sped up the pace and made it difficult for the Jazz to get set into their zone. Mitchell finished the half with 14 points. Despite their double digit lead in the first quarter, the Jazz blew a 10-point lead early in the second quarter. Utah turned the ball over six times in the quarter and it sprung a 14-3 run for the Nuggets. Jamal Murray was having another special night as he was baking and lightening up the Jazz. Murray had 25 points in two quarters, shooting 9 of 13 from the field. Utah was outscored 31-20 in the second quater and was lucky to be down by five at the end of the half, 61-56.
Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson sprung together a 10-3 run late in the third quarter to cut the Nuggets' lead to three, but Nikola Jokic' hit a couple of shots to extend the Nuggets' lead to seven. At the end of the third quarter, the nuggets built up a nine-point cushion, 79-88. In the fourth quarter, the Jazz tried to make a comeback, but they could not stop Murray. Murray had a 50 point night and extended the series to a winner takes all game.
Mitchell finished the game with 44 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds. Mike Conley Jr. finished the game with 21 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.
