USA shocked by Canada in OT 3-2

USA wanted to continue to make a statement against Canada in the finale of the Four Nations Faceoff. Right before the game President Trump gave Team USA an inspiring speach as he told them that he was proud of them representing the country. With that said, Team USA and Canada had one heck of a game. The game was very intense from start to finish. Canada scored the first goal to open up the game, but Team USA returned the favor. Heading into the second period, after a rebound attempt, Sanderson found the bottom of the net and helped Team USA regain the lead with his goal. But, again, the Canadians would not lay down. They scored in a blitz, which put a lot of pressure on the Americans heading into the third.
If you did not think this game was going to go down to the wire, then you were mistaken. Both teams had a couple on goal shots, but their defense stood still. The last .30 seconds before an extra period was awarded was on your heels screaming at the tv. Canada had three cracks with getting the puck in the net and was stopped by Team USA.
The start of the first extra inning was NUTS. The Americans came oh, so close from scoring a goal in the first minute, Canada's goalie must have had stick em on his gloves, because he was blocking everything that came at him. Canada beat Team USA as Conner McDavid scored the final goal to break the Americans' heart.
