USA Basketball announces finalists for U.S. Olympic Team

Los Angeles-The 57 finalists have been announced for the U.S. Olympic Team on Thursday.


With the uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus, the USA basketball team beefed up its finalist from the usual 40+ players to 57. USA basketball's head coach Greg Popovich stated with everything gong on with the virus, he wanted to make sure that he was ready.


“With the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics from 2020 to 2021, it’s important that we continue to remain flexible and consider all players who can contribute to our efforts to field the best USA team possible. These additions we are announcing today will help ensure that we are doing that,” said Jerry Colangelo, who has served as the managing director of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team since 2005.


Here are the players who were selected as the finalist for the Olympic team.
