'UNFIGHTABLE' OFFICIAL TRAILER RELEASED BY FUSE MEDIA AND LA JAULA STUDIOS
ViX's original documentary 'Unfightable' is being released today by Latino-owned Fuse Media and La Jaula Studios, the global leader in inclusive entertainment. In Unfightable, Marc J. Perez (Severe Clear, Anytown USA) and La Jaula Studios tell the extraordinary story of Alana McLaughlin, a distinguished U.S. Army Special Forces Sergeant and transgender athlete fighting for control of her life and her narrative by competing as a professional MMA fighter.
Unfightable will premiere at the Village East Theater in New York on September 13, followed by a week-long run at Laemmle Noho 7 in Los Angeles. During the next few months, the documentary will make its exclusive world television premiere on ViX, the leading Spanish-language streaming service in the world, and on Fuse in English.
Unfightable is a documentary about Alana McLaughlin, a transgender woman who embarks on a journey into the world of mixed martial arts, a sport notorious for its shortcomings and biases towards transgender people. Having grown up in a very difficult environment to serving in the US Special Forces, Alana's journey led her to discovering a supportive community in Portland, Oregon, where she has transitioned to a new life. After fighting battles throughout her life, she now aims to fight professionally. 'Unfightable' is a powerful film that, while highlighting how crucial it is for transgender athletes to be recognized as athletes and to be able to compete professionally, also demonstrates how courageous it can be to stand up for themselves.
