UConn flies past Dayton in season opener 102-58
After being upset by Ohio State in the NCAA tournament last season, UCONN and Coach Geno Auriemma wanted to get back to their winning ways and let people know that they are the team to beat. For the first time since her ACL injury Paige Bueckers was on the floor with some minute restrictions. She finished the game with 8 points and 3 rebounds.
Outside of Bueckers' welcome home party, UConn completely squash whatever confidence that Dayton had. They jumped all over the Flyers like they stole something. Aaliyah Edwards was all in her bag with fadeaway shots, post-game, and hitting some unbelievable shots that was contested. She finished
Collectively, the Huskies shot around 55% from the field and 50% from behind the arc in a tune up game to start off the season.
