Turnovers haunted LA as the 76ers scraped out a 107-106 victory

Los Angeles- The Lakers had 11 turnovers in a loss to the 76ers.

In a battle between the first place Philadelphia 76ers, the Lakers had trouble stopping Joel Embiid in the first half. Embiid took advantage of the smaller Montrezl Harrell and got Harrell and Anthony Davis into foul trouble early on.

Sloppy plays by the Lakers helped the 76ers build a double digit lead late into the first quarter. LA turned the ball over five times in the quarter and was shooting 20% from behind the arc. LeBron James started to take over in the second quarter. He dished out a couple of dimes to Kyle kuzma, as well as drove down the lane to either get to the foul line-or score an easy lay-up. James finished the half with 22 points and cut the 76ers' lead to four, 55-51.

At the start of the second half, the Lakers were very late getting into their defensive sets and Philadelphia made them pay. The 76ers went on a 9-2 run to extend their lead to double digits. James hit a slow spell, as he missed a couple of shots in the quarter.

Outside shooting kept the Lakers within striking distance in the fourth. With under .30 ticks left in the game, LA down by one, James tried to will his team to victory. He kicked it out to one of his teammates for an open shot, but it rimmed in and out. Tobias Harris hit a game winning shot with 2.5 seconds to pull the 76ers into a victory dance, defeating the LA.

James finished with 34 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds

Davis finished with 23 points, 2 assists, and 8 rebounds
