Tom Brady’s 5 touchdowns helps Buccaneers down Fins 45-17
If you are a fantasy football lover and own any Buccaneer wide receivers or Tom Brady chances are, you dominated your opposition. The Buccaneers put up video game-like numbers with 558 total yards. Brady put on another dominant performance as he was able to spread the wealth and keep all his weapons fed and happy.
Brady threw for 411 yards and five touchdowns, while helping one of his many weapons Antonio Brown become the fastest NFL player to reach 900 receptions in a career. Brown had a game high 7 catches for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns while also extending the NFL's longest active streak with at least one catch to 141 consecutive games.
"I take so much inspiration from Tom. As a professional, as a leader, making sure that I'm doing my job, making sure that all the other 10 guys are doing their job," said Brown, he just continues to up the standard and raise the bar."
Brown wasn’t the only Bucs wide receiver that had a big day Mike Evans had 6 catches for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chris Godwin had 7 catches for 70 yards the Buccaneers passing game was certainly insync and Brady could pick his poison of guys he wanted to throw to. “We've got a unique group of guys. Very talented, but very selfless too," Brady added. "All those guys are getting opportunities to make plays, and just fun to see when everyone's involved how fun it can be."
As for the Dolphins it has been a dreadful start for a team that won 10 games a season ago. Dolphins have lost four straight and head coach Brian Flores is obviously frustrated. “We didn't execute our game plan defensively. Just collectively as a defense we just didn't do enough. I'm concerned. We're out of sync," Miami coach Brian Flores said. "We've adjusted some things, but we're not seeing the production on Sundays."
The Dolphins will have a long plane ride to London where they will face a struggling Jaguars team as for the Buccaneers they will face a quick turnover as they play this Thursday night against the Eagles.
