Timberwolves pick Anthony Edwards as the NO:1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft
Minnesota- The Timberwolves decided to go with Anthony Edwards to start off the 2020 NBA Draft.
The 2020 NBA Draft class did not have any players that stood out as the number one overall pick. It was a lot of back and forth between James Wiseman, LeMelo Ball, and Anthony Edwards before the draft. Each of the the top players were good, but didn't have that Zion Williamson affect that intrigued teams.
The Timberwolves wanted to go after Edwards, because they felt like he can extend the floor with his shooting ability. He can shoot the mid range shoot and create shots off the dribble. Edwards needs to improve on the defensive end, but other than that, the Timberwolves love him. It will be interesting to see how he will fit in with Minnesota.
Here are the top 5 picks.
2. Warriors draft James Wiesman
3. Hornets draft LaMelo Ball
4.Bulls draft Patrick Williams
5. Cavs draft Isaac Okoro
