Things are heating up before WrestleMania 40

Jey Uso kicked off Monday's Raw with fireworks and wasted almost no time calling out his brother, Jimmy. This was just days after a match between them at WrestleMania 40 was announced. Jimmy joined his brother in the ring and after a few disrespectful words, found himself on the receiving end of a sharp right hand from his sibling. Solo Sikoa's distraction set the stage for a two-to-one beatdown. In the end, Cody Rhodes stood tall with Jey to close the opening segment.

Several tag team matches were also held for the WrestleMania Tag Team Title Qualifying match: #DIY won over The Creed Brothers. Awesome Truth beat Indus Sher and The New Day beat Alpha Academy. All of the matches were pretty decent.

The Judgment Day continued to attempt to recruit Andrade which could be a worthwhile addition to the group. Also, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley ran down JD McDonagh's gauntlet loss to Ricochet last Monday. The match between Ricochet and Dominik Mysterio was set up when Judgment Day wanted Mysterio to finish the job McDonagh didn't do against Ricochet in the previous week's gauntlet match. Unfortunately for them Mysterio didn’t stand on business.

Cody Rhodes cut a promo during the show, addressing his ongoing issues with Roman Reigns and The Rock. During the promo, Rhodes questioned whether The Rock would be able to perform after so many years away.

The company's recent success proved the company was doing fine without him. Paul Heyman eventually cut Rhodes off, offering Rhodes the opportunity to confront Reigns at SmackDown on Friday. Tune in Gunther and Sami Zayn signed their WrestleMania contracts. Zayn pointed things out by telling Gunther to look into his eyes and realize he will end the record-breaking intercontinental championship reign.

The night's best match was the Last Woman Standing match between THE MAN Becky Lynch and Nia Jax. Lynch finally won after she executed a Manhandle Slam from the ring apron onto the table outside the ring, followed by a leg drop from the top of a ladder onto Jax as she lay on the commentary desk. After the match, Rhea Ripley ended the show with a stare-down with her WrestleMania opponent. I can't wait for WrestleMania.
