The winning streak for the Aces continues as they defeated the Storm

The two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces pulled away from the Seattle Storm with a 78-67 victory in Game 1 of the best-of-three series in behind A'ja Wilson scoring 21 points and blocking five shots after winning her record-tying third MVP award earlier Sunday.


Tiffany Hayes finished with 20 points and five steals off the bench for fourth-seeded Las Vegas. Chelsea Gray had 16 points and seven assists. Jackie Young added 12 points and seven rebounds. Hayes' performance was huge especially with Kelsey Plum struggling last night. You need that spark off the bench in the playoffs.


Five-seeded Seattle was led by Diggins-Smith's 16 points and eight assists. Gabby Williams finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Nneka Ogwumike had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Horston had 10 points off the bench. Jewell Loyd struggled last night after coming back off her injury this may have a big effect on this series


Wilson's MVP award underscores her dominant presence in the league and her pivotal role in the Aces' success. Her performance in Game 1 further solidified her status as a game-changer, providing a psychological edge for Las Vegas. The accolade not only boosts her confidence but also energizes the entire team as they aim for another championship.


Las Vegas will host Game 2 on Tuesday. Seattle will host Game 3 on Wednesday if necessary
