The Tigers hold off SMU 34-31

In a battle between Clemson and SMU for the ACC Championship in a potential chance to get into the playoff turn turned into a thriller.


Clemson jumped out to a 24-7 lead, and everyone thought that the Tigers would beat the brakes off the Mustangs, but SMU the speed boosters and put the Tigers back in their cages late. For some strange reason, Clemson went away from spreading the ball to their wide receivers in the second half and went back to running the ball, which was a huge mistake. They combined for 54 yards.


While the Tigers' offense turned into newborn cubs, SMU took advantage and started hitting homeruns. After they scored their first touchdown, momentum switched, and the Mustangs was on fire. With only two minutes left in the game, Clemson did just enough to hold off SMU and kick a field goal to win the game. Cade klubnik finished the game with 262 yards throwing the ball through the air and four touchdowns.
