The Ms. Foundation for Women Celebrates Gloria Steinem’s 90th Birthday

President and CEO of Ms. Foundation for Women, Teresa C. Younger announced and celebrated Co-Founding Mother Gloria Steinem’s 90th birthday.  Her grateful response to the celebration included awareness and the moment of true admiration of Gloria’s impact she has had on the foundation, and the progress of her vision.  “Over 50 years ago, Gloria had the radical idea to support women-led movements and founded the Ms. Foundation alongside Patricia Carbine, Letty Cottin Pogrebin, and Mario Thomas, where this vision has powered our work ever since,” Younger added, “With hope, perseverance, and dedication we will prevail in the fight for gender and racial equity.  Happy Birthday, Gloria!”  The Ms. Foundation is an establishment of hundreds of local and regional women’s funds, influencing mainstream culture through nationwide projects such as Take Our Daughters to Work Day and grant funding.
