The Heisman Awards will get a new location

New York- The iconic Heisman Awards and reception honoring MVP candidates will have a new location starting this year.

On Thursday, it was announced the Heisman Awards would now take place at an upscale venue at Lincoln Center’s Appel Room in New York City. The venue will feature A 9.5-foot tall Heisman Trophy sculpture, all 84 Heisman portraits will be hung in the theater, and a multi-level stage designed to accommodate all past winners in attendance. The designs were planned out by stage designer David Korins.

The new venue will shine its spotlight and be the main attraction December 11, along with the 2021 Hesiman candidates .The one-hour event will start at 8 PM, ET.
