The Hawks' in-tournament schedule was released on Tuesday
The NBA today announced the Atlanta Hawks' four Group Play games during the Emirates NBA Cup, the league's second in-season competition, which will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays in November.
As part of East Group C, Atlanta will compete against the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, and Washington Wizards. There will be four designated Group Play games for the Hawks, two at home and two on the road, against each of their group opponents. As part of the first of two Atlanta Hawks Cup Nights presented by Harrah's Cherokee Casinos, Atlanta will play Boston on Tuesday, Nov. 12 (7 p.m.) before hosting Washington on Friday, Nov. 15 (7:30 p.m.). On Friday, Nov. 22 (8 p.m.), Atlanta plays Chicago before returning home to host Cleveland on Friday, Nov. 29 (2:30 p.m.).
At a later date, Bally Sports Southeast will announce its broadcast schedule. Hawks Radio Network and Sports Radio 92-9 The Game will broadcast the four Group Play games with Voice of the Hawks Steve Holman and pregame, halftime and postgame host Mike Conti.
Eight teams will advance to the Knockout Rounds: the team with the highest standing in Group Play games in each of the six groups and two “wild cards” (the team from each conference with the highest record in Group Play games that finished second in its group).
