Los Angeles, CA (January 14, 2025) – The Guild of Music Supervisors (GMS) has announced its distinguished honorees for the 15th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards, set to take place on February 23rd, 2025, at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's ceremony will pay tribute to two remarkable figures in the industry: Stephen Schwartz, the recipient of the Icon Award, and Bonnie Greenberg, who will be honored with the Legacy Award.


Celebrating Stephen Schwartz: Icon Honoree

Stephen Schwartz, a celebrated composer and lyricist, will receive the prestigious Icon Award, recognizing his legendary contributions to the fields of music and film. Schwartz's illustrious career includes iconic works such as WICKED, GODSPELL, and ENCHANTED, along with his contributions to animated classics like POCAHONTAS, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, and THE PRINCE OF EGYPT. Known for her work on films such as MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING, THE MASK, and THE HUNTING GROUND, Greenberg has produced numerous Gold and Platinum albums and has received various accolades for her music supervision. The Legacy Award honors those who have significantly shaped the industry through their dedication and creativity.


Greenberg's background is as impressive as her achievements. Starting as an entertainment attorney, she transitioned into music supervision, working on over 80 films, including classics like MENACE 2 SOCIETY and HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS. Additionally, her recent projects focus on documentaries that aim to create social change, such as THE HUNTING GROUND and RBG. Greenberg also shares her expertise as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon and NYU Los Angeles.
