The Dodgers Get a Much Needed Win Against The Giants, 3-2

LOS ANGELES- Max Muncy and Mookie Betts both lead off the game with deep home runs.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been on a little win streak now at four in a row. Getting a win against the San Francisco Giants team is huge for the Dodgers. While still trailing the Giants for first place by 2.5 games, they have a couple more chances to cut into the lead.

This win was made possible with two early home runs by Betts and Muncy. Betts cranked a 388 yard bomb to lead the inning off, followed by Muncys 424 foot home run. Betts has been on a little bit of a hitting slump the past couple games. Having 10 home runs on the season now, Betts has improved the way he hits recently.

Each run in this game was scored off of a home run. This is unheard of. Both the Dodgers and Giants were looking to go yard the whole time. With pitcher Trevor Bauer being on the receiving end of it. While Bauer did give up two home runs, he came out on top with the win. Striking out eight batters while giving up eight hits was a solid performance from him.

These two teams have the best records in the league right now. Not only in the stacked NL West, but in the whole league. The Dodgers playing like this is what will win them games.

Playing team ball and having your stars show up when it’s crunch time. Dodgers Manager Dave Robert’s had this to say after the game “Mookie and Max got us off to a nice start. It is nice to play with a lead”.

Up next, Dodgers ace Walker Buehler (7-1) looks to make up for his last start which led to his one loss. Buehler will be going head to head with Kevin Gausman (8-1). This looks to be a battle as both pitchers have been pitching lights out.
