The Clippers dropped Game 2 to the Denver Nuggets 110-101
Orlando- The Los Angeles Clippers were defeated by the Denver Nuggets, 110-101.
In the first half, the Clippers' offense stalled a bit, as they were getting outplayed by the Nuggets. In the first quarter, the Nuggets scored 44 points in the period and was shooting around 71 % from the field. Jamal Murray started to look like himself, as he started to light up the Clippers with his mid-range shooting, making the right passes to his teammates, and being the aggressor that Denver needed in Game 2. Murray finished the half with 20 points.
Paul George had a decent half, as he had 14 points, 1 assist, and 4 rebounds, but the Clippers could not stop Nikola Jokic. Jokic erupted for 24 points and 10 rebounds, which helped his team build a 16 point lead at the half, 72-56.
In the second half, the Clippers held the Nuggets to 17 points and got themselves back into the game with contributions by Lou Williams and MontrezeI Harrell. At the end of the third quarter, the Clippers were down by ten. In the fourth quarter, the Nuggets stopped a 13-3 run by the Clippers and went on a 15-7 run late in the fourth quarter to close out the game 110-101.
George finished the game with 22 points, 3 assists, and 9 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard finished with 13 points, 7 assists, and 10 rebounds.
