The Celtics will advance to the next round and play Miami in the Eastern Conference Finals
Orlando- The Boston Celtics escapes with the victory over the Toronto Raptors, 92-87 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
In the first half, the Boston Celtics played a little bit sloppy, as they turned the ball over a couple of times and struggled to get in any type of rhythm. Kemba Walker was non-existent, as he could not get the ball to drop in the net. On the defensive end, the Celtics had trouble stopping the three point shooting of the Raptors. However late in the second quarter, the Celtics put together a 17-6 run to jump in front of the Raptors at the half. Marcus Smart had started the run by getting in the passing lanes, getting steals, and outworking the Raptors on the boards. At the end of the half, Smart's 12 points helped build a four point lead, 50-46.
In the second half, the game was fairly close as Kyle Lowry and the Raptors cut the lead to four. However, lets take it to the fourth quarter where Boston extended their lead to seven points. Jayson Tatum took over the game, as he had seven points in the quarter and put his team in the driver seat to pull out a victory. With under a minute left and the Celtics up by two, Smart made a huge play to block a shot that could have tied the game. That was the play that earned the Celtics the victory.
Tatum finished the game with 29 points, 7 assists, and 12 rebounds.
