The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is excited to announce its 2025 Oscars Season, running through March 30, 2025. This annual celebration invites film enthusiasts and the public to engage with the rich history of the Academy Awards® through a series of unique programs and events, culminating in the 97th Oscars® ceremony.

Highlighted Programs

The Oscars Season will feature a variety of engaging activities, including:

  • Oscar® Nominee Spotlights: Conversations and presentations highlighting the talent behind this year's nominated films.

  • Oscar® Sundays Film Screenings: Special film screenings celebrating the contributions of Black artists in cinema over the past 65 years.

  • Official Oscars® Watch Party: A lively event on March 2, coinciding with the live broadcast of the Oscars ceremony.

  • In-Gallery Tours: Explore new exhibits and historical content related to the Oscars.

The 97th Oscars will air live on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT on ABC and will also be streamed live on Hulu.

A Deeper Dive into Oscars History

Festivities kick off with the announcement of Oscar nominations and updates to various galleries, including the Spielberg Family Gallery, which will showcase historical footage from past ceremonies. Visitors can expect to see notable artifacts, such as Ryan Gosling’s Gucci suit from the 96th Oscars and Marlee Matlin’s Academy Award for Children of a Lesser God.

Tours and Special Events

Oscars Tours: Through the Decades will guide guests through the history of the Academy Awards, highlighting iconic wins and memorable moments. Additionally, monthly Gallery Spotlights will feature special guests discussing the art, history, and science of filmmaking.

Exclusive Merchandise

The Academy Museum Store will debut a new collection of exclusive Oscars merchandise, including the 97th Oscars poster and an Oscar statuette lapel pin. The store will also continue to offer popular Oscars-themed items.

Key Events Leading Up to the Oscars

In the lead-up to the Oscars, a series of Oscar Nominee Spotlights will occur from February 21 to March 1, focusing on various nominated filmmakers and their works. Highlights include:

  • Breaking the Oscars Ceiling: Celebrating the new Academy Award for Achievement in Casting.

  • Screenings of all Oscar-nominated animated, documentary, and live-action short films.

On the day of the Oscars, the museum will host the Official Oscars® Watch Party from 3 PM to 8 PM, featuring gourmet food, wine, and photo opportunities, all culminating in the live broadcast of the ceremony.

Post-Oscars Screenings

After the ceremony, the Academy Museum will host screenings of this year’s Oscar-winning films, including:

  • Documentary Feature Film on March 8

  • International Feature Film on March 9

  • Best Picture on March 16

Ticket Information

Tickets for the various events range from $5 to $100, depending on the event and membership status. General admission to the museum is priced at $25 for adults and includes access to all tours.
