Team USAW advances to the semifinals

Just like how she plays in the WNBA, Aja Wilson continues to make sure that her squad is in charge and adjusts to how their opponent is playing. Nigeria made the game a bit competitive in the first half. They cut Team USA's lead to eight, but Wilson was like nope. With her scoring inside the paint, Wilson helped her team expand the lead to double figures.

The second half for Team USA was more of a grit and grind it out for two quarters. Each time it seemed like Nigeria was going to make a run, someone from Team USA would hit a big shot to keep Nigeria at bay. Team USA went on to win 88-74 and advanced to the semifinals. After the game, members of media wanted DT's thought about Nigeria and their program and this is what she had to say about the team.

“You see just commitment from these (programs) to economically support (their teams), and I think Nigeria is the perfect example of that,” Diana Taurasi They just keep investing in them,” “They come second in their group.
