Team USA steamrolls over Argentina to quiet critics 108-80
Vegas- Team USA gets their first win of the exhibition.
After dropping two exhibition games, Team USA wanted to come out against Argentina and set the tone early on. For the first time in three games, Team USA got out to a quick start and was active defensively in the first quarter. Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, and Bradley Beal was making it rain with threes in the quarter. Team USA went 6 of 9 from behind the arc and had a 33-19 lead walking into the second.
After coming out hot in the first, Team USA struggled to hit buckets for a matter of four minutes in the second and saw their lead dwindle to single digits. Zach LaVine and Lillard hit some late shots in the quarter to push Team USA's lead back to double digits at the half, 58-42.
In the second half, Team USA just poured it on with fastbreak opportunities , playing defense, and letting the game come to them. For the first time in exhibition play, it looked like each one of the members of Team USA looked in sync and was engaged with every possession. Team USA went on to crush Argentina 108-80.
