Team USA rolls past New Zealand 99-72 in Tournament opener

Team USA took care of business earlier this morning, sending New Zealand back to the chalkboard in a dominating 99-72 victory.

In the first half, Team USA's offense was bit shaky as they had multiple turnovers, which turned to points for New Zealand. I think it was safe to say that Coach Steve Kerr told his team to settle down and after he said that Team USA looked the part of a gold medalist. Paolo Banchero, Tyrese Haliburton and Austin Reaves were the anchors that grounded this young team tonight. Banchero had a game-high 21 points, while Reaves had 12 points and six assists and Haliburton finished with 10 points to go along with four assists.

Team USA will face Greece on Monday.
