There is a real possibility that the Connecticut Sun selected the steal of the draft and possibly the most talented player in this draft class.  When they selected LSU forward Aneesah Morrow with the No. 7 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft.

She began her dominance at DePaul University, where she amassed 53 double-doubles and set the single-season record for rebounds (457).  During her sophomore season, Morrow averaged 25.7 points and 12. 2 rebounds per game, which placed fourth and seventh in the country, respectively.

Morrow, under head coach Kim Mulkey at LSU, where she made her mark, had 22 double-doubles in her junior season, which ranked fifth in the nation, and 93 steals, which ranked third in program history.   She achieved her greatest success during her final season.   Among her achievements, the 22-year-old earned the Katrina McClain Award as the nation's best power forward, as well as several other honors, including being named to the SEC First Team in 2025.  Morrow was LSU's leading scorer (18.7 points per game) as well as leading the country in rebounds per matchup (13.5) and double doubles (30). She finished her collegiate career third in NCAA Division 1 history in rebounds (1,714) and second in double-doubles (104).

Morrow brings a dynamic skill set and a strong defensive presence that can significantly boost the team's performance. Her ability to score efficiently and grab rebounds will provide the Sun with a significant advantage on both ends of the court. With her talent and work ethic, Morrow has the potential to become a cornerstone player for the franchise in the coming years.
