Street Profits capture WWE Tag Titles

Tarrian Rodgers

The Street Profits are up, and they wanted the smoke on Friday Night Smackdown as they captured gold for the second time in their career. The end of the match saw Angelo Dawkins kick out of Tommaso Ciampa’s Fairytale Ending finisher. DIY then tried to put him away with Meet in the Middle, but there was a miscue and Johnny Gargano accidentally kicked Ciampa’s head into the front row. Montez Ford took advantage of the situation to hit a frog splash and score the three count. The win comes after a rough period that saw injuries, a lack of creative direction, and rumors of a split derail their momentum in late 2024 and early 2025.

They are now tag team champions for the first time since January 2021. Pretty Deadly now awaits them as the number one contender for the gold. The win cements their place in WWE history. They become only the second team to achieve the WWE Tag Team Triple Crown, having previously held the NXT, Raw, and SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Their latest championship win reaffirms their status as one of WWE’s top tag teams and sets the stage for potential WrestleMania 41.
