Despite Jewell Loyd having a monster game, Seattle drops home opener to Aces 105-64

After losing Sue Bird to retirement and Breanna Stewart to the Liberty this offseason, the Storm were optimistic about the upcoming season, as they were in the rebuilding phase. Their first test was their home opener against the Las Vegas Aces.

Seattle started off a bit shaky but got in their groove late in the first quarter. They put a lot of pressure on the Vegas' two headed monsters in Aja Wilson and Candace Parker for a bit, but the Aces went on a 15-2 run to go up double digits. In a blink of an eye the Aces jumped to a 20-point lead and kept their foot on the pedal the rest of the way

Jewell Loyd was the only player that was contributing in a productive manner. Loyd tried to put the team on her back, but her contributions wasn't enough. She finished with 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 29 min
