South Carolina women's basketball picked up win number 10 of the season by beating South Florida 78-62

The No. 3 Gamecocks (10-1) started the game off strong, but they had some trouble with USF's defense in the second quarter, which resulted in four turnovers for the team.  In the third

quarter, the offense was cleaner and more   efficient. This eventually led to the lead being extended to 23 heading into the fourth quarter. 


Joyce Edwards, a freshman from South Carolina, had a career-high 15 points, as well as four other players contributing to the team's double-digit scoring total.  Ashlyn Watkins had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.


This was ' 63rd straight win at home.  This impressive winning streak highlights the Gamecocks' dominance on their home court and their consistent performance over multiple seasons. It underscores the strength and resilience of the team, reinforcing their reputation as a powerhouse in women's college basketball. Such a streak is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the support of their loyal fan base.
