No. 1 Texas defeated Florida 72-46 on Sunday, and the Longhorns and Gamecocks both finished 15-1 in conference play. The teams split the season series, but South Carolina won a coin flip at the end of the season and will be the top seed in this week's Southern Conference tournament in Greenville.

Besides Te-Hina Paopao's 13 points, Chloe Kitts had 12 points and 10 rebounds for South Carolina. The team has won at least a share of the regular-season title for four straight years.

Amoore had 16 points and Clara Strack 23 points, which failed to build on its 82-58 win over No. 11 Tennessee on Thursday night.

South Carolina's defense was tough today as Kentucky struggled from deep, converting just 6 of 23 from beyond the arc. The Gamecocks also out rebounded the Wildcats 44-28.

South Carolina displayed remarkable consistency and resilience throughout the season, securing key victories against tough opponents.
