South Carolina continues its winning streak

In celebration of last year's 38-0 championship run, the Gamecocks unrolled the banner celebrating their 38-0 championship run last year as they started their home season. Then it was time to stand on business to keep their perfect season running strong.

There was a couple of great performances from MiLaysia Fulwiley and Chloe Kitts on Thursday night as No. 1 South Carolina won its 41st straight game, 92-60, over Coppin State. Fulwiley had 23 points and Kitts added 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Despite missing Sunday's game against No. 13 NC State because of an academic issue, Kitts had a double-double for the second time this season.   During the Gamecocks' 60th straight home win, Fulwiley made four of her team's 10 3-pointers. South Carolina has not lost at home since Dec. 3, 2020, when it fell to NC State 54-46.

As usual, South Carolina dominated its opponents on the boards, doing what it does best.  The Gamecocks outrebounded Coppin State 51-23.

This impressive winning streak underscores South Carolina's dominance in women's college basketball and highlights their consistent excellence over multiple seasons. Maintaining such a record requires not only talent but also discipline and teamwork, setting a high standard for their competitors. The Gamecocks' ability to sustain this level of performance at home creates an intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams.
