SMU gets into the College Football Playoffs for the first time in school history

The Cinderella team in SMU did just enough to have the committee consider them to be in the new playoff format as the 11th seed. The Mustangs will face Penn State. with everything on the line.

The Mustangs will enter their opening-round road matchup with the second-longest road winning streak in the nation with 10. SMU is one of five teams unbeaten on the road this season. With their 11-2 record this season, it will be very interesting to see if this team will get their crown or a pumpkin that says their time has run out. Only time will tell.
