Sha'carri Richardson gets her first win of the season

Jacksonville, FL- Dallas track star Sha'carri Richardson gets the "monkey off of her back" and gets a w in a wild race.

Earlier this week Richardson got her swag and confidence back as she got out the blocks a little slow, but came on strong within 40 meters left to push ahead of the pack at the 2022 Duval County Challenge American Track League.Richardson won with a time of 11.27 That was her first win since she was suspended from running in the Olympics for testing positive for marijuana. The past is the past and Richardson has learned from it.

After pulling out of three heats this season, Richardson looks confident with the win, as she prepares for a showdown with Elaine Thompson in the Pre Classic in Eugene, Oregon, Richardson has her work cut out for her since Thompson is taking the nickname "Flash" to greater heights. In order for Richardson to pull off the upset, she needs to come out the blocks smooth and fast. It will be very interesting to see what Richardson will come out of the blocks.
