Serena Williams avoids third set and advances to the next round

New York- After being down 4-1 in the second set, Serena Williams hit a second gear to comeback and win the match, 6-4,-6-4.


Serena Williams had to face some adversity against Danielle Rose Collins. In the first set, Williams kept Collins uncertain on her moves. She was not playing the baseline as much and had a little bounce into her step. Despite have good games in the set, unforced errors kept Collins hanging around. Williams won the first set 6-4.


Down by three games in the second set, Williams attempted to pull from within and the crowd. after hitting a backhand shot and winning two consecutive games, momentum started to shift towards Williams. Williams tied the game up at four and went on to steal the heart and soul of Collins 6-4.
