Second half meltdown stopped the Magic from pulling out the win over the Hornets, 107-104

Orlando- Turnovers and sloppy play hurt the Magic late in the fourth quarter, as they dropped their game to the Hornets.


The Magic had a 12 point lead with under two minutes left in the third quarter. Everything was working for them, but than with under 10 minutes left in regulation, the Hornets went on a 9-2 run to cut the Magic's lead to single digits.


Orlando had cucial turnovers that lead to big buckets for Gordon Hayward, PJ Washington, and DeVonte Graham. The Magic had no answer for Graham, who hit three consecutive three pointers to put the Hornets in the nest to hatch a potential victory. The Charlotte Hornets grabbed a nine point lead late into the fourth, however it was short lived.


Nikola Vucevic hit a couple of threes to keep the Magic in the game. After a missed free throw by the Hornets, the Magic sprinted down the floor and created a three point shot for themselves, which tied up the game. With under .5 seconds left in regulation Hayward put the lid on the game with an easy layup to the rim to close out the game.
