Roman Reigns appears at Smackdown season premiere on USA

It was deemed WWE week on the USA Network and Friday’s premiere on Smackdown got off to a hot start. Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE title against Solo Sikoa in a cage match. Smackdown also celebrated 25 years showing former WWE legends such as Booker T and Queen Sharmelle, RVD, Vickie Guerreo and countless others who made Smackdown such a successful program over the years

Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa (Undisputed Title)- Sikoa came out alone but The Bloodline is never far away. Rhodes took control early but one mistake led to Sikoa sending him into the cage wall. He followed up with a few hip strikes against the cage. Eventually Rhodes got the victory. The Bloodline showed up and attacked Cody in the cage. Jacob Fatu was about to hit a splash from the top of the cage but was distracted by Roman Reigns's music.The OTC entered the cage and began taking out everyone. Fatu saved Solo from a Spear before squaring off with Reigns. Solo dragged him out while Tama and Loa went after Reigns. Rhodes and Reigns took them out before having a tense standoff. 

A-town Down Under vs. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton- Kevin Owens revealed a local talent as his partner for the night. His name was Ricky and KO tried to give him a good intro. A PA told Owens his real partner arrived, so KO gave Ricky a Stunner to get him out of the ring so Randy Orton could come out. This was a simple but entertaining tag match. Orton and Owens win.

Nia Jax came out and delivered a short promo about an unknown opponent for Bad Blood. Bayley confronted her about needing Tiffany Stratton's help before Tiffy came out to mock her. Naomi joined and they agreed to a tag match next week.

Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes-  They came into this tied at 2-2, so both men were hoping to cap off this feud with a victory. Hayes attacked El Idolo while he was entering the ring to get an advantage.El Idolo hit a spinning neckbreaker from the middle rope for the win. LA Knight came out to call out his new number 1 contender.

Roman Reigns In-Ring Segment- "I am the Tribal Chief!" Reigns says. "I'm not the original Tribal Chief, I'm the only Tribal Chief!" Reigns says this is his ring, his show, his WWE. Rhodes comes out."Your ring. Your WWE. Well, it was," Rhodes says. They drop their mics ready to fight. When Solo's music hits he comes out to distract while Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa jump the two. Rhodes and Reigns squashes them quickly. Reigns signs the contract for the tag match and so does Cody. The tag match between The Bloodline and the team of Rhodes and Reigns is on at Bad Blood.
