Regina King ties record at Emmys
Los Angles- Regina King ties record for most acting Emmys won by a Black performer.
King won lead actress in limited series or movie for her role in The Watchman. After the win and her fourth Emmy in her career, King tied the record for most Emmys won by a black performer. King is now tied with the talented Alfre Wooddard with four Emmys. After King found out that she won an Emmy, she accepted the award, and used her platform to tell people to vote and let their voices be heard.
"Got to vote. I would be remiss not to mention that, " said King. "Have a voting plan. Vote up the ballot please. It is very important. Be a good human."
At the end of her speech, King wanted to acknowledge Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who passed away last week. "Rest in Power, RBG," said King.
