Recap of Week 3 of the Creating Young Minds Undiscovered League

Lewisville, TX- In Week 3 of the CYM Undiscovered League, the Undiscovered ran past the Phenoms 90-51, while the Veterans held off Lewisville Yellow 73-70.

Josh Crawford, Balsa Bazovic, and Damyien Durham were unstoppable against the Phenoms. All three players combined for a total of 67 points. Undiscovered, collectively shot around 55% from the field and 47% behind the arc. From start to finish, Undiscovered controlled the pace of the game, as well as put in work with being active on the boards. The Undiscovered went on to win in an impressive fashion 90-51.

In the night cap game between The Veterans and Lewisville Yellow, The Veterans were challenged in the fourth quarter. With under .50 seconds left, Lewisville Yellow attempted to shoot a game tying three, but hit the back off the rim, as The Veterans escape with a three point victory 73-70 at the end of regulation.

Kyle Nelson was the player that needed to have a huge game in order for The Veterans to win last night. Nelson had 22 points and 7 rebounds. He was hitting his shots and putting pressure on the Lewisville Yellow guards on the defensive end. In the end, Nelson helped his team out when it mattered the most.
