Ray Cooper III is one step away from winning the PFL Championship

New York- In a very exciting match between Rory MacDonald and Ray Cooper, Cooper walked away victorious with an unanimous decision.

What a match by both fighters. From start to finish, it was a very lopsided fight. Cooper established himself early on. Instead of standing up and banging with MacDonald, he decided to attempt take downs. Cooper wore Macdonald with body shots when he was in the full-mount position, which happened majority of the fight. In the third round, Macdonald looked very gassed and Cooper hit him with a two piece combo that staggered him. Cooper jumped all over him and delivered some vicious blows to the face, but Macdonald held on and escaped a potential sleep over with Cooper's fist as the bell sounded.

Cooper advances to the championship round and will face Magomed Magomedkerimov in the welterweight division final on October 27, in a rematch with a world championship and $1 million at stake.
