Ravens top rival Steelers 34-17, All-square in AFC North
The AFC North race has been a constant reminder of why rivalries are important in football. Baltimore has been fighting to get back in the race and Saturday was a perfect opportunity for the Ravens to draw even with the first place Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens received stellar play from Lamar Jackson that has been an NFL MVP candidate all season long. Jackson passed for 207 yards on 15 of 23 completions for 3 touchdowns.
Derrick Henry obliterated the Steelers on the ground accumulating for 162 rushing yards on 24 carries. Two tight ends (Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely) and a receiver (Rashod Bateman) were on the receiving end of the touchdown passes by Jackson. Baltimore’s defense held the Steelers offense in check and contributed to turnovers by the Steelers QB, Russell Wilson (1 fumble, 1 interception). Baltimore now ties Pittsburgh with a 10-5 record to share 1st with the Steelers for the AFC North division race. Baltimore heads to Houston on Christmas to face a 9-6 Texans team that is looking for every win possible to climb up the standings since they have clinched the AFC South title already.
The Ravens will host their final regular season game against the Browns while Pittsburgh will host the Chiefs on Christmas followed by a visit on the last regular season game against the Bengals
