Rams ran out of time as the Steelers get the W

The LA Rams couldn't hang on against the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-17. The Rams had a promising first half but couldn't maintain momentum in the second half.

The Rams knew their tight game wasn't solely decided by one questionable fourth-down spot at the two-minute warning. There was no doubt in Los Angeles' minds that the officials' decision was not the right one. Pittsburgh wasn't about to apologize for earning a big break in its impressive comeback victory.

As Pickett went for a fourth-and-1 at the Rams 38 on the final snap before the two-minute warning, he converted it. Due to the Rams' lack of timeouts, coach Sean McVay was not able to challenge the spot as the play occurred outside the window for a booth review.

When asked about the play Coach McVay said 'It doesn’t matter what I think," McVay said. "That was the spot they made. I’m not going to sit here and make any excuses about stuff that didn’t go down. Those plays shouldn’t have come down to that if we executed like we were capable of.”

In the fourth quarter, Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris rushed for touchdowns. Despite a quiet offensive day, the Steelers beat the Rams 24-17 on Sunday. In addition to passing for 230 yards, Kenny Pickett ran for another touchdown.

Stafford passed for 231 yards and a touchdown. The rookie sensation Puka Nacua had eight catches for 154 yards, making it 58 receptions in his first seven games. This is an NFL record, and it ties Saquon Barkley's record for catches in a player's first eight games before Nacua takes the field next week. Nacua's 752 yards receiving put him behind only Ja'Marr Chase (754) for the most yards in a receiver's first seven games.
