Rams had no answer for Eagles running game

The Rams offense started the game by putting together a substantial drive, moving the ball into the Eagles Red Zone, then turning the ball over on a Kyren Williams fumble, which led to the Eagles putting together an 80-yard drive which resulted in a Jake Elliot Field goal giving Philly a 3 – 0 lead.
The Rams offense continued to look potent as they drove down the field to take a 7 – 3 lead on a 9 play 70-yard drive culminating with a K. Williams one yard touchdown run; a pass interference call assisted the Rams scoring opportunity by placing the ball at the one-yard line. The Eagles drove 70 yards, hitting an FG from 31 yards out making the score 6 – 7. Late in the 2nd quarter Jalen Hurts threw a 6-yard TD to A.J. Brown, giving the Eagles a 13-7 lead with 1:27 left in the half.
The 2nd half belonged to the Eagles as Saquon Barkley got loose with a 72-yard TD run, in the 3rd, and a 72-yard TD run in the 4th quarter. The rubber surely met the road for the Rams in the 2nd half as they found out they were truly facing an elite opponent. Coach McVay of the Los Angeles Rams gave props to the Eagles for their performance, as he marveled at Barkley’s performance. McVay mentioned what Los Angeles needed to do to prevail, and spoke on the mistakes made by his squad, but totally gave credit to the Philadelphia Eagles for their dominant performance and being the better team as they fell to the Eagles 37 – 20.
