Raiders' secondary could not stop New England's running attack as they fall 36-20
Las Vegas- The Raiders have to go back to the drawing board, as the Patriots' offense picked apart the black home and got the victory, 36-20.
In a game against the Patriots, the Raiders' defense stepped up big. The Raiders' secondary was exceptionally good with keeping Cam Newton contained and not letting his legs make big impacts on drives. Newton forced a couple of balls in tight coverage that was picked off by the Raiders, but Las Vegas offense stalled a bit. Derek Car did not have a productive half, as he only threw for 107 yards and had a touchdown pass to Foster Moreau. Going into the half, the Raiders was down by three, 13-10.
After a couple of three and outs by the Raiders, the Patriots scored a touchdown to extend their lead. The Raiders' secondary had no answer for the running attack of the Patriots. Sony Michel was killing the Raiders' secondary with runs over 20- yards. With under five minutes left in regualtion, New England put the icing on the cake, as they scored another touchdown and had a take way for a touchdown, to put the game away.
Carr finished the game with 261 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Patriots had 250 yards on the ground.
