Pre NFL Free Agency Frenzy

NFL Free Agency is off and running. Some big signings occurred early last week like former Houston Texas DE J.J. Watt signing with the Arizona Cardinals. Leading into this upcoming week, there are a lot of players that are on the board during free agency.

Coming from the 49ers, after not being given the franchise tag, OT Trent Williams is playing at peak preference. Williams would be a great fit for multiple teams in the NFL in need of QB protection. Earning the highest PFF grade of any tackle this year (91.9) Williams is ready to keep working.

After not being tagged by the Detroit Lions, WR Kenny Golladay has shown flashes of the ability to be a number one wide receiver. He is one of the best deep threat WR in the league racking up 43 contested catches, and 930 yards of 20-plus-yard targets (third most in the NFL). Teams with a strong arm QB would love this fit, as deep balls are Golladays specialty.

Will Fuller V should be in for a payday. After everything that has been going on in Houston and not knowing who his QB will be in the upcoming season, look for Fuller V to find a new team. With over 26% of Fullers targets since 2018 being 15-plus-yard gain and being ranked number eight in total receiving yards on vertical targets, many teams would love to have him as he can catch and create separation in the open field.

While there are many great players this year, these are only a couple that standout. Some big recent signings on Friday were, Cam Newton returning to New England on a one year deal and former patriots QB Tom Brady resigning a one year extension in Tampa Bay to create more cap space.

It should be an exciting time for NFL fans next week.
