Player's Tailgate is coming to New Orleans for Super Bowl week

The excitement is building for the 2025 Players Tailgate, set to take place on Super Bowl Sunday, February 9, 2025, just five blocks from the Caesars Superdome at 1540 Canal Street. This year’s event will be headlined by three culinary titans: Marcus Samuelsson, Marc Murphy, and Aaron May, promising an unforgettable pre-game experience for food and football lovers alike.

A Culinary Celebration

The Player's Tailgate has earned its reputation as a premier VIP tailgating event, featuring a stunning lineup of 18 celebrity chefs and over 50 active NFL players. This 11th annual gathering is poised to showcase the culinary excellence that New Orleans is famed for. According to Kyle Kinnett, CEO of Bullseye Event Group, “We’re hosting an experience worthy of one of the nation’s top culinary cities. The 2025 Players Tailgate will, for the first time in our 11-year history, feature three host chefs.”

Kinnett’s confidence in the event is bolstered by the diverse culinary backgrounds of the headlining chefs. Marcus Samuelsson, known for his innovative global cuisine and multiple James Beard Awards, has a robust presence in the culinary world as a restaurateur and TV personality. “This will be a must-attend event for both football fans and food lovers alike,” Samuelsson said, hinting at a menu that will reflect the vibrant energy of the Superdome.

Marc Murphy, a veteran of The Players Tailgate, is also excited to return. Renowned for his role as a judge on popular Food Network shows, Murphy expressed his eagerness to craft a menu that intertwines the French and Spanish culinary influences of New Orleans. “The city’s food scene is influenced by French and Spanish roots, and I am excited to create a menu for football fans that draws on both cultures,” he remarked.

An All-Star Culinary Lineup

In addition to the headlining chefs, Culinary Director Aaron May has curated an impressive lineup of talent, including Food Network champions and Michelin star chefs. The full roster includes Aarti Sequeira, Alon Shaya, Burt Bakman, and many more, each contributing their unique flair to the event. “We traveled the country to assemble the who’s-who of restaurant royalty befitting of a pre-game spread for the biggest game of the year,” May noted.

VIP Experience and More

Guests attending The Players Tailgate will find themselves immersed in an all-inclusive VIP experience, featuring deluxe cabanas, huge LED screens, gourmet food, and top-shelf drinks. Sage Steele will return as the on-stage emcee, and DJ Irie will set the mood as the official DJ, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere.
