Panther's receivers are the talk of training camp
There are four wide receivers, who had made plays and shown great chemistry with quarterback Bryce Young in training camp: Diontae Johnson, Xavier Legette, Terrace Marshall Jr. and Jonathan Mingo have the potential to be one of the most dangerous receiving corps in the league.
Diontae Johnson is known for his precise route running and quick separation from defenders. Xavier Legette brings a combination of size and speed, making him a deep threat down the field. Terrace Marshall Jr. offers strong hands and physicality, excelling in contested catches, while Jonathan Mingo showcases versatility and explosiveness after the catch.
The Panthers are hoping to capture the magic Johnson had in his terrific 2021 season, reeling in 107 receptions for 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns. That would also mark Ben Roethlisberger's final season in the NFL and Johnson's production hasn't been the same. In Charlotte, Jonathan Mingo has been the talk of training camp. It's obvious that Mingo's offseason work with Panthers great receiver Steve Smith is paying off since camp opened. Once again, Terrace Marshall Jr. has made an impressive start to training camp. Marshalls come up with some outstanding catches and seems to benefit from Dave Canales' improved teaching methods. During training camp, Marshall has been a standout player in the past and the Panthers hope that carries over into the regular season this time. Lastly, I expect Xavier Legette to have an immediate impact on the Panthers Xavier Legette's blend of size and speed makes him an excellent fit for stretching defenses and opening up the field for other playmakers. This 6-foot-3 athlete can run a 4.39 with his combination of size and speed. Watch out for this group!
