Packers blows out Falcons on Monday Night Football 30-16
Green Bay- Aaron Rodgers dismantled the Falcons 30-16 and keeps the Packers unbeaten.
Aaron Rodgers looked good out the gate, as he threw a touchdown pass to Aaron Jones to open the game up against the Atlanta Falcons. On the next Packers' possession, Green Bay decided to be aggressive and go on a fourth and goal. Green Bay was stuffed at the line and the Falcons' defense came up big After the Packers kicked a field goal early in the second quarter, the offense sputtered just a hair.
Rodgers missed a couple of wide open receivers and it looked like the Falcons' secondary was gaining confidence. The Falcons' confidence decreased when Rodgers threw his second touchdown of the night to Robert Tonyan Jr. late in the second half to go up 13-3 over Atlanta. Before the end of the quarter, Rodgers threw his third touchdown of the night to Tonyan. The Cheeseheads was in full control of the game, 20-3.
The Packers' defense looked tired midway in the third quarter and the Falcons took advantage of it. Todd Gurley busted through for a five-yard touchdown run. Atlanta missed the pat and cut the lead to a two possesion game, 20-9. On the next Packers' possession, Rodgers threw his fourth touchdown pass and Green Bay went up 27-9 over the Falcons. Early in the fourth quarter, Gurley ran for his second touchdown to make the game a little competitive, 27-16.
Green Bay kicked a field goal late into the fourth quarter to ice the game, 30-16.
Rodgers finished the game with 327 and 4 touchdowns
Jones finished with 15 touches for 71 yards
Tonyan finished the game with 6 receptions for 98 yards and 3 touchdowns
