No Harden, No problem for the Nets to claim their victory over the Bucks 115-107
Brooklyn, NY- Despite James Harden not on the floor, Blake Griffin contributed on both sides of the ball and helped the Nets pull out a convincing victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Harden had to leave the game in the first quarter, because of a recurring hamstring injury. He left the game and did not return. As they did all season long, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant picked up the slack. Both players got to their spots on the floor and carved their names into the Bucks' defense. On the defensive end, Irving had a couple of steals that started a 10-2 run in the third quarter to break the game wide open.
The Nets' role players were feisty and physical with Jrue Holiday and Giannis Antetokounmpo. They smothered Giannis and forced him to ill advise shots and got into Holiday's head a bit. Joe Harris, Griffin, and Bruce Brown Jr. combined for 43 points, which helped seal the deal for Game 1 of the series.
Irving finished with 25 and 5 rebounds.
Durant finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds.
