No. 6 LSU beat Albany 83-61 on Sunday behind Aneesah Morrow's 20 points and 18 rebounds

With 18 points from Mikaylah Williams and 15 points and nine rebounds from Flau'Jae Johnson, the Tigers tied their school record for the best start ever.


It was Williams and Morrow's steals that enabled Johnson to score a pair of fastbreak layups during a 25-2 run in the final 7:41 that carried the Tigers from 1 point down to 22 points in the end.   The 25-2 run was a game-changing moment that showcased the Tigers' defensive prowess and offensive efficiency. This burst of momentum not only secured their victory but also highlighted their ability to dominate when it mattered most. It was a testament to the team's resilience and strategic execution under pressure.


LSU won despite hitting just 1 of its 13 3-point attempts.Kaci Donovan scored 15 of her team-high 17 points for Albany. Lilly Phillips and Kayla Cooper had 14 each.
