A sold-out Moody Center saw No. 5 LSU battle No. 3 Texas in a defensive battle on Sunday afternoon, but the Tigers lost 65-58.

Flaujae  Johnson led the way with 16   points. Mikaylah Williams had 18 points, and Aneesah Morrow finished with 15 points and 20 rebounds. This was her third fourth 20-rebound game this season, while recording her 24th double-double of the season. The Texas bench outscored the LSU bench 20-5, and no other LSU player scored more than three points.

It was the Tiger Trio leading the way again.

Madison Booker led the Longhorns with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists, helping her team to a victory.   The primary defender of Booker, Johnson, did a good job in limiting her shooting to 3-17 from the field.

The Texas Longhorns are the only SEC team to beat LSU and South Carolina, showcasing their strength and resilience against top-tier competition. This impressive feat highlights the Longhorns' ability to compete at the highest level and solidifies their position as a formidable force in the SEC.
