NFL is getting into the holiday spirit as they switch their uniforms to match with the holidays
For the first time in NFL history, there will be NFL games played on Christmas Day and broadcast on Netflix. Yes, you read the sentence right. Netflix has partnered up with the NFL and will broadcast games two Christmas Day games.
The four team's wo will be playing are the Chiefs, Texans, Ravens, and the Steelers in a clash of seeding for that last gasp of breath for the playoffs. What will be a bit different are the uniforms as well as a patch above the jersey, matching the holiday in which they will be playing in.
The NFL on Christmas has become a holiday staple with families coming together to celebrate and watch NFL games,” said Tim Ellis, NFL executive vice president of marketing. “This year, we look forward to the start of a new holiday tradition with Netflix which will be seen around the world, and these holiday-inspired uniform patches are a great touch to mark this special occasion.”
This will not be the first time we will see a Christmas game on Netflix. They have a three-year deal with the NFL, so this partnership maybe here to stay, if the audience likes the product of the Christmas Story of the NFL.
